Countywide CTC Forum Planning Meeting
March 4th, 2003


Present: Terry Kenworthy, Nancy Clegg, Doreen Ellis, Kathryn Spurlock, Doreen
DeRouanna, Rana Watterson


Kathryn distributed information pertaining to Bucks Promise for Youth & Communities (BPYC) and expressed importance of finding out how Bucks County started this initiative. Group reviewed by-laws of BPYC as a reference.

Terry stated that countywide forum should be a CTC initiative, not a COAD initiative, and that meetings will be held quarterly. Group identified potential ‘task force’ participants. Terry requested all mobilizers forward to her the names of potential ‘task force’ participants.

Group discussed format for ‘task force’ meeting set for 4/4/03. Format will potentially include a brief opening followed by breakout sessions to identify how a countywide forum will benefit individual sites, their missions, and their agencies. Group discussed potential interactive activities for breakout sessions.

As a visual aid, Kathryn documented on flip-chart the benefits of a countywide forum in the form of values to the county, values to the agency, and operations. Decision was made that Kathryn will also do this for subsequent meetings, including at the 4/4/03 meeting

Doreen D. discussed importance of ‘task force’ coming away from 4/4 meeting with action steps and/or product. Group addressed the importance of keeping the task force/countywide meeting a motivational one.

Group agreed on the following timetable to be completed for 4/4 meeting:
-invitations via phone to potential ‘task force’ participants
-paper invitations sent out as a follow-up to phone invites.
Rana and Terry to begin work on paper invitations immediately based on specific bullet points discussed. Future timetable items include gathering contact information for late summer/early fall countywide meeting and organizing food.

Next Countywide CTC Planning meeting set for Monday, March 17th, 2003 at 10:30am. Items to be addressed include our individual roles, agenda and method, etc.
